Network "Frühe Hilfen Wetterau" (Early Help Wetterau)

The network “Frühe Hilfe – Wohlbehalten aufwachsen in der Wetterau” ("Early Help - Growing Up Well in the Wetterau"), coordinated by the Wetterau district, supports expectant parents and those with children aged 0-3 years in many areas. The basis for the network's work is the Federal Child Protection Act which came into force on January 1, 2012, in the areas of early help and family midwifery. All the important players in preventive child protection work together in the network: the youth and health authorities, schools, hospitals, doctors, pregnancy counselling centers, municipal family centers, social organizations, family midwives and the police.

Mothers’/family centers

In the Wetterau district there are various advice centers for mothers and families. There are both course centers and information centers. During parental consultations, for example, both small and large everyday problems can be discussed in an uncomplicated way with a pedagogical specialist.

The "Evangelische Familienzentrum Friedberg" (Protestant Family Center, Friedberg) is a cooperative scheme between the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde (Protestant Church Congregation) and the Evangelische Familienbildung (Protestant Family Education) in Wetterau. It was established in 2013 and is intended to be a central contact point for families in the center of Friedberg.

In Büdingen the family center "Planet Zukunft" (Planet Future) is a multi-generational contact point for all people who are looking for information, advice and support and who need someone who will listen. Themed events and courses are offered on topics such as child-rearing, childcare, nutrition, health, self-awareness and self-defense, education, vocational counselling and reintegration, general life counselling, counselling for couples, and culture for children.

The "Mütter- und Familienzentrum e.V. (Müfaz)" (Mother and Family Center) is a social space for people of all ages in Bad Nauheim. Here, support is offered to families, for example in work on relationships, open spaces, integration and education. In Müfaz there is an open meeting on weekdays where everyone is welcome to exchange ideas openly, even without being a member. Müfaz also offers parent-and-child courses, mini-meetings, a day-care center, language courses, parenting courses and a mentor network to support young people.

The multigenerational house MüZe (Mütter- und Familienzentrum Karben e.V.) is a meeting place for people of all ages either with or without a migration background. In open meetings visitors quickly find contact with others, conversations, and an understanding for their concerns. The counselling services help people to help themselves, and also include general advice on life, orientation for new citizens, pregnancy counselling, breastfeeding advice and many other topics. Educational offers include lectures on various topics for people of all ages .

PaMuKi Familienzentrum e.V. is a contact point for questions about pregnancy, birth and life with small children. In addition to a comprehensive range of advice and counselling, PaMuKi also offers courses. It offers a space for talking with like-minded people. Questions about becoming and being a family can also be discussed.
